Partnering for Eternity allows students enrolled at Madison Campus Elementary to receive up to $1,000 in scholarship money by forming relationships with their scholarship mentors. The student, accompanied by his/her parent,
is required to spend a minimum of one hour per week in service activities with the scholarship mentor. The student is then required to write a summary of their activities and submit the summary promptly to the school office on Monday. After the summary is approved, the student's account will be credited $25 for the visit.
Some of the activities that students perform are assisting with grocery shopping, domestic duties, help feeding a meal, physical therapy, laundry, pedicures, hair care, and yard work. Students sometimes also take baked goods and treats to their Scholarship Mentors and become the bright spot in their days.
This program is a win-win for everyone. Students learn to consider the needs of others and learn a work ethic while funding their education. They can see that there is a world beyond their own elementary school world.
There are approximately 35 scholarships available, and those spots are on a first come first serve basis. Please complete the PFE application form and return it to the office as soon as possible.
